Our courses hit every type of project your students will need to have a complete portfolio and also gives your teacher the flexibility to modify the curriculum to fit any schedule.

In each cycle, students focus on learning how to draw and paint the world around them.  Using various mediums of graphite, and gouache paint while observing from nature, master copy, cast study, landscape, still life and portrait anatomy.

In this cycle our subjects tie into modern history. Using C.S. Lewis, Sargent, Beatrix Potter, Mucha, N.C Wyeth and Rockwell.

Students will also complete this cycle with a beautiful sea scape as well as a still life painting of a violin.  They will also draw a cast and then a realistic drawing of their own grandparent.

All projects, each year are designed to ultimately build the students ability to draw and communicate within a visual language so that they can take this skill into the future.
Throughout this course you and your students will:

  • Draw the Human Eye
  • Review Geometric concepts while painting the sphere and cube
  • Learn color mixing while studying the Traditional vs. Impressionist palette
  • Paint a beautiful Sea Scape and learn about atmospheric perspective
  • Draw from the Imagination of C.S. Lewis
  • Create a Still Life Painting of a Violin
  • Learn Shadow Shape Technique while studying Sargent
  • Learn Portrait Anatomy while drawing from Cast to a Portrait
  • Paint from Nature with Beatrix Potter
  • Master Copy after Mucha 
  • Master Copy after Rockwell
  • Draw the Clothed Figure
