This course weaves through observational and imaginative lessons, alternating the use of mediums of gouache paint and graphite, while we draw through themes of adventure.  

Leading with a Still Life Painting of a Lantern, Books and Tea, they will then draw a portrait from the inside out.  Analyzing shapes, skeletal structure, muscles and then the natural face leads to a fascinating study of God's creation as well as artwork that will surprise your students.  They will not believe how well they can draw.

Your students will develop their ability to draw and to see light and beauty in the world around them while building a beautiful artistic portfolio that will make your school shine.  Art projects incorporate themes from Pilgrims Progress, as well as drawing master copy from Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Hokusai.  

 Students will also learn how to paint from nature and also beautiful landscapes.  This well rounded curriculum keeps students engaged, excited and eager for the next project.  So much so that they will begin drawing in their free time at home.
